Xoom rolls out money transfer mobile site

Users can access their account to view transactions, as well as add or cancel any.  The mobile site is powered by Usablenet.

“Xoom’s mission is to provide breathtakingly fast, easy and fair money transfer experiences for our customers,” said Julian King, senior vice president of marketing and corporate development at Xoom.

“Our strategy is to extend the convenience Xoom money transfer experience to all screen,” he said.

Xoom claims to offer safe and secure sending options from a consumer’s laptop, tablet PC or smartphone device.

Consumers can access the mobile-optimized site by entering m.xoom.com on their mobile browser. To access the mobile site users can log-in to their account.

Consumers that do not have an account can register for one.

Users can track their last transactions

Via the mobile site, users can choose the amount they want to transfer, how it will be received, and the payment and scheduling options.

Additionally, consumers can access the help center and use the Spanish-enabled functionality.

“Customers can already send money at anytime with our desktop experience,” Mr. King said. “With our new mobile optimized site they can now send money from anywhere.”

Users can also view fees and exchange rates via the mobile site.

“Xoom will continue to enhance and extend our mobile experience,” Mr. King said.
