Room 77 Android app lets travelers find best hotel rooms

Consumers can now search rooms for hotels in nearly 30 destinations. The app is available for free download in Google’s Android Market.

Room 77 is a hotel search engine that reveals data down to the room level, providing consumers with unprecedented detail about each guest room at thousands of three- to five-star properties.

Hotel check-in
The mobile app lets consumers check-in at a hotel’s front desk and enter the room number offered by the clerk.

The app then advises users whether to take the room or leave it and presents alternate room suggestions.

Additionally, users can search nearby properties based on their current location or browse hotels in another destination.

The app can search a range of rooms best matched to user preferences and check out the simulated Room View feature that uses proprietary mapping technology to generate the actual view as if you were standing in front of the window.

Consumers can also browse the Look Inside feature, which provides room-specific photos submitted by users or hotels, which let travelers peek inside a particular room before they check in.

Users can also share hotel room photos, exit floor plans and reviews via the app.

Currently, the company is working to index every hotel room at every three- to five-star hotel and resort worldwide.

The app is also available on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices.
