Microsoft’s release on Thursday of the first real Outlook for mobile devices, including iPads, iPhones and their Android variants, is a milestone. For Microsoft, it underscores how far the company has come from the days when it tried to use its Office suite of applications, of which Outlook is a member, to hurt Apple and Google Android devices by not making the software available on them.

New Galaxy S6 leak confirms radical Samsung plans
While the Galaxy S6 itself is expected to be the most radical reinvention of the S range to date, it is the new ‘Edge’ variant which excites most. Expected to be based on the Galaxy Note Edge released late last year, it would mean the phone sports a touchscreen display along its right edge.

Sky to launch UK mobile phone service
Pay-TV firm Sky is launching a mobile phone service next year in partnership with O2’s Spanish parent Telefonica. Sky will use Telefonica UK’s wireless network, enabling the satellite broadcaster to offer mobile voice and data services for the first time.

Travel site Hopper unveiled its new Price Prediction mobile app on Wednesday, purporting to take some of the guessing out of when to book a ticket. By analyzing historical price data from thousands of flights, the app advises you on whether you should book a ticket now or wait for a lower price.
