Grocery Shopping Network, Sunflower Farmers Market offer consumers deals via mobile

The companies believe that the mobile initiative will let shoppers leverage the same tools they use online, but now on their smartphones.

“The strategy here is to let shoppers access Web content in the form of an app,” said Albin Andolshek, vice president of product development and communications at GSN.

“This app helps shop the store specials, recipes, and your own items,” he said. “It also syncs with your online profile which means your list can start online and finish on the mobile device through one account.”

Grocery Shopping Network, Inc. connects consumers, retailers, and brands through its premier content, advertising, and software for retail Web sites.

Sunflower Farmers Market is a rapidly growing chain of full-service grocery stores offering consumers the highest quality natural and organic products at the lowest possible price.

Mobile integration
The mobile program will let shoppers access a completely integrated mobile circular with built-in search capabilities, as well as let them filter by department and brand.

Consumers can also add items manually from the circular or recipe portal.

The service lets users share deals and other findings and access the searchable recipe portal complete with all recipe details and the recipe of the day.

“This partnership entails cross channel digital shopper solutions and advertising,” Mr. Andolshek said. “Web sites, social, email, mobile, search.”

The mobile shopping program also features a store map, location finder and the ability to save a favorite store.

Consumers can also browse contact info, profile syncing, and easy shopping list management.

Shoppers can make a list online and immediately access a saved list on their smartphone as well as making a list on their phone and seeing it online with GSN’s profile synchronization.

“Mobile devices will soon outpace traditional computers if they haven’t already,” Mr. Andolshek said.

“Pantry scanning, coupons, and managing all of your shopping needs on mobile devices,” he said.
