IGiftGiver helps consumers find perfect gifts

Vendo Concepts LLC has launched the iGiftGiver, an iPhone application designed to help consumers search for the perfect present without going from store to store.

Consumers can browse gifts based on price, age, occasion and gender. Vendo Concepts said the iGiftGiver application provides a service that does not exist in the application market today.

“Our approach at Vendo Concepts is to provide value to consumers by presenting new services and functions that make them more productive,” said Saima Khan, vice president of communications at Vendo Concepts, Seattle.

“Other gift related apps out there focus on creating checklists or budgets,” she said. “The iGiftGiver is the only app that actually guides consumers on what they should actually buy,   making gift giving stress-free and hopefully more enjoyable.”

Vendo Concepts are smartphone application and marketing consultants.

Gift giving on-the-go
The application features a top 10 gift guide for each segmented group, as well as a product description for each gift.

IGiftGiver also provides consumers with a suggested buying price and the type of stores that typically carry the selected product.

Vendo Concepts plans to update the guide around special occasions such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, as well as provide year-round gift ideas.

“We will be updating with what’s hot, what’s trendy and basically what people really want,” Ms. Khan said. “Who wants a fruit cake for Christmas or another boring tie for Father’s Day?”

The application also features a list of unique, one-of-a-kind gifts.

Vendo Concepts is targeting any consumer who is looking to give someone a gift.

Keeping up with consumers
IGiftGiver is priced at 99 cents. Ms. Khan said Vendo Concepts is evaluating the idea of placing geo-targeted ads.

The application is being marketed online via social media channels.

Ms. Khan said the application’s use comes down to the convenience factor

“With the momentum through adoption from consumers and developers the question today is why not you have a mobile platform for your service?” Ms. Khan said. “The iPhone provides a platform where consumers now carry real time information that allows them to make real time decisions.

“The iGiftGiver is ideal for the ever expanding mobile platform,” she said. “Today life is all about convenience, and we are just adding some simplicity to a task that seems to stress a lot of folks.”
