Crocs, Swagg offer $25K in mobile gift cards via interactive promotion

The mobile campaign offers users a chance to enter to win one of more than 800 Swagg gift cards. The mobile promotion ends on Oct. 9.

“Firethorn continues to drive adoption of Swagg and create revenues for our merchant partners,” said Chip Fishburne, vice president of mobile commerce services at Firethorn Mobile. “In doing that, we ensure consumers have access to the content they want, when they want it and bridge the relationship among consumers and their favorite brands.

Our technology creates easily accessible, branded and personalized mobile commerce channels that give consumers access to their accounts, offers and transactions while on the go,” he said.

Crocs offers several shoe collections with more than 250 styles to suit every lifestyle

Swagg manages offers, and makes plastic gift cards and rewards digital.

How it works
Consumers can download the Swagg application for iPhone and Android devices.

Non smartphone users can log on to http://www.swagg.com and create a free account.

Consumers can log into their account and once in the main menu, select “Enter Promo Code.”

Then, users can enter the promo code “Crocs919” and click submit.

“In order to build a brand, it’s important to develop a culture of being able to communicate directly with the consumer in engaging and compelling ways,” Mr. Fishburne said.

“One way to communicate and engage our consumers has been through promotions with our merchant partners,” he said. “These promotions engage the consumers of the merchant partners as well engage them in using Swagg.”

Mobile past
This is not the first time that Swagg has partnered with a retailer to giveaway prizes.

In June, American Eagle Outfitters and Swagg teamed up to give away $100,000 in mobile gift cards.

The promotion helped consumers gear up with their favorite summer styles (see story).

Additionally, Swagg works with several retailers such as American Apparel, Seven Madden, 1800Flowers and Wet Seal.

1-800-Flowers has incorporated Firethorn Holdings’ Swagg mobile application to offer consumers access to gift cards and loyalty programs from their mobile devices (see story).

Additionally, American Apparel is letting consumers give and get gift cards. Consumers can receive personalized offers geared to their individual interests and keep current with their loyalty programs via their handset (see story).

“Swagg was launched last holiday season, and since that point, we have focused on building Swagg by establishing relationships with consumers through experiential, social and digital marketing utilizing platforms such as Facebook and Twitter as well as mobile push alerts to commmunicate directly,” Mr. Fishburne said.
