Absolut enhances mobile app with Facebook integration
Absolut has enhanced its Drinkspiration iPhone application that lets users see what drinks their friends on Facebook are having and where – only if their friends choose to share their location.
In addition, the company added a new flavor, Wild Tea, to the application. Via the app, users can browse recipes and check out new Absolut flavors.
LTU technologies rolls out mobile visual search service
LTU technologies has rolled out a mobile visual search offering that lets advertisers link printed ad material to digital content using a mobile device.
Advertisers do not need to place QR codes or any other type of mobile bar codes, and LTU believes that the service will help those that do not want to dilute the aesthetics of their message by adding a mobile bar code to it.
The technology can be used on ads, catalogs, posters, in-store displays or other product packages and can link back to coupons, videos and other additional content.
Edmunds.com shows dealers consumer purchase intent via iPad app
Edmunds.com is providing automobile manufacturers and dealers with information about anonymous consumer car buying research and shopping patterns.
The iPad app features analytics about vehicles that consumers are considering buying and shows dealers how each vehicle is performing versus its competitors.
The application is built on the MicroStrategy Mobile platform.
EMarketer taps iPhone app to update readers on latest trends

Users can browse the latest insights, choose their favorite reports and access them later if they want to. The company is planning to roll out an Android and BlackBerry app next month.
The application is available for free download in Apple’s App Store.
