While most brands and retailers already have their holiday mobile commerce strategy and tactics in place, consumer response to the current economic situation may require tweaks and adjustments for effective customer acquisition and retention.

Building on last year’s momentum, expectations are that one out of two consumers nationwide may shop or buy with a mobile device this year, rendering the cost of not getting holiday mobile commerce right pretty high. This hour-long webinar on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET will have senior executives from GNC, The Children’s Place, True Action and sponsor Branding Brand offer expert advice on last-minute tweaks to mobile commerce efforts that can really drive a retailer’s bottom-line.

“Mobile commerce is the brightest spot in digital retail, and this season will prove that retailers, marketers and financial institutions that let consumers shop when and how they want untethered to a cord or computer will generate positive mobile commerce sales,” said Mickey Alam Khan, editor in chief of Mobile Commerce Daily and Mobile Marketer, New York.

“Consumers this holiday season are not only expected to shop on mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets and via sites and applications, but also come under the influence of mobile to walk into stores to make purchases or shop for merchandise,” he said.

“This webinar with expert advice from retailers such as GNC and The Children’s Place is designed to help marketers, retailers and financial institutions and all those with a stake in holiday retail to check if their mobile commerce strategy and tactics are in the right place. There is little room for error with mobile commerce over the holidays since consumer expectations are considerably higher than last year.”

The free webinar on Oct. 24 is part of a continuing series that Mobile Commerce Daily produces.
