Voskos raises brand awareness via mobile app

National brand Voskos Greek Yogurt has launched a mobile application to help make it easier for customers to incorporate yogurt into their healthy eating habits.

The app features more than 100 recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks using Voskos yogurt. It is available for free download  for Android, iPhone, iPod touch and iPad devices.

“The Moble app was created to help our customers make better food choices and to find recipes that are not just tasty and easy to make, but are also healthy,” said Emily Neukircher, marketing manager of Voskos, Sun Valley, CA.

“We want people to find our app as a helpful tool whether it’s finding that simple healthy recipe to achieve their diet goals, to finding more information about our products, downloading coupons for savings, and the ability to find Voskos no matter where they are with our product locator,” she said.

Voskos Greek Yogurt is an all-natural Greek style yogurt produced by Sun Valley Dairy. It is available at Kroger, Safeway, Whole Foods and other grocery stores.

Easy recipes
The recipes found on the app contain detailed nutritional information and instructions. The collection includes high-protein, low-fat and low-sugar choices.

New recipes will be added every month.

Users can search recipes by keywords and save a list of their favorite recipes so they are easily available to consult while grocery shopping.

The app also includes a collection of videos in a section called Mary’s Kitchen. The videos demonstrate how to prepare several recipes that require no cooking and were created with anyone who does not have the time to prepare more involved recipes in mind.

The first thing users see on the app is the recipes page. There are nine categories to choose from on this page, including breakfast and special holiday recipes.

Five tabs appear at the bottom of the page, including products, store locator, contests and one for coupons, Mary’s Kitchen videos as well as photos of recent events.

The app is being promoted on Voskos’ social media channels, including Facebook and Twitter, as well as its Web site.

“Our mobile efforts are designed to help people stay connected with Voskos anytime of day, anywhere,” Ms. Neukircher said.
