State Farm continues mobile expansion with Kindle Fire appBy
The Pocket Agent app lets consumers access the company’s policies and their account information. The State Farm Pocket Agent app is also available for iOS and Android devices.
“Pocket Agent further extends our reach to customers beyond the service they have become accustomed to receiving in a State Farm agents’ office,” said Patty Gaumond, vice president of operations of customer care center at State Farm.
Through the Pocket Agent Kindle Fire app, users can view all policies on a summary screen, including policy name, type and renewal date.
Consumers can also deposit a check with the MyTime Deposit feature and record accident details, capture photos and submit information.
In addition, users can view their State Farm Bank accounts with balances and use the apps insurance premium or bank bill pay options.
The app also lets consumers search for a hotel, gas station, tow truck, taxi, locksmith or rental car by location or ZIP code.
Users can also locate a State Farm Select Service Repair Facility and search for and contact a State Farm agent with ease.
State Farm has been building up its mobile portfolio over the years.
In 2011, State Farm let consumers enter for a chance to party on the Intrepid aircraft carrier museum via a sweepstakes campaign that married mobile and social (see story).
Last year, State Farm let consumers get a fast estimate and start saving through a mobile advertising campaign (see story).
Most recently, the company State Farm’s focus on acquisition and account management made its mobile site a leader in the auto insurance category, according to a study from Forrester Research and Key Lime Interactive (see story).
“This integrated approach across all our access points illustrates our continued commitment to be there for our customers anytime and anyplace they wish to do business,” Ms. Gaumond said.
