Boston-based baby and kid’s gear chain Magic Beans’ “Hit the Jackpot” sweepstakes for the holiday season lets parents experience the convenience of mobile checkout, while also saving money and winning free toys.

The promotion takes full advantage of the recently launched iPhone application, powered by AisleBuyer, which allows customers to scan items in a Magic Beans store and immediately purchase them via their smartphone without waiting in line.

“Magic Beans is using mobile to improve the in-store experience for their customers,” said Shannon DiGregorio, a spokeswoman at AisleBuyer, Boston.

“By offering their customers all the benefits of online shopping, combined with the satisfaction of getting to take their items home immediately, Magic Beans strives to create the perfect mix of bricks and clicks commerce for their tech-savvy clientele,” she said.

AisleBuyer is a mobile shopping platform that helps brands and retailers enhance the in-store shopping experience.

Hit the Jackpot
Customers who check out using the Magic Beans application between now and Dec. 24 with a qualifying purchase are automatically entered to Hit the Jackpot.

When a customer completes a purchase the Jackpot wheel will appear on screen. The customer then shakes or taps their iPhone, the Jackpot wheel spins and they can automatically win a discount off their purchase.
