PriceGrabber simplifies mobile shopping functionality via Android app

Experian’s PriceGrabber is offering consumers better shopping functionality, discount badges and bricks-and-mortar product availability via an enhanced Android application.

Via the new features, consumers can now share their favorite products with friends and family via Facebook, Twitter and email. Customers can also view enlarged product images via the app.

“The PriceGrabber mobile platform uses the latest in technology to help people research and shop on-the-go while feeling assured that they are getting the most relevant information to help them make smart purchasing decisions,” said Sharon Banfield, director of public relations at Price Grabber, Los Angeles.

“Constant innovation to our various mobile apps helps us continue to provide an anywhere any time consumer shopping experience,” she said., a part of Experian, is an online shopping site with more than 23 million unique shoppers monthly. At, shoppers can instantly find and compare millions of unique products and services across 25 categories with more than 11,000 merchants.

Mobile enhancements
The new mobile features let consumers review detailed product specifications and evaluate product offers of new, used or refurbished items.

Additionally, customers can see a discount badge when a product has been heavily discounted.

The badge makes it easy for consumers to located reduced items within the vast array of the company’s product offerings.

“PriceGrabber’s commitment to providing a world class mobile shopping experience has helped us build an organic following when it comes to our mobile apps,” Ms. Banfield said.

“PriceGrabber is also fortunate to have a loyal social media following and we will use these social media channels to make our followers aware of enhancements to our mobile platforms.”

Product availability
The app also lets consumers view the prices of products available in their local brick-and-mortar store.

The service identifies the stock levels of specific products and gives customers driving directions to the local store, as well as the location’s store hours.
