Papa John’s continues mcommerce push with Android appBy
In addition to its new Android app, Papa John’s also has an iPhone application which it rolled out last year. The Papa John’s Android app is available for free download in Google’s Android Market.
Via the Papa John’s Android app, consumers can browse the entire menu which consists of pizzas, sides, drinks, desserts and extras.
Additionally, all of the online special offers and coupons are also available via the app.
Consumers do not need an account to place their order – the app accepts orders with or without a PapaJohns.com account.
In addition, consumers can pay via cash, credit card and several locations take checks. This is helpful for consumers who do not want to enter their credit card information through their mobile device or for those that simply just want to pay their own way.
The application also lets consumers place an order that is not necessarily for right now.
For example, consumers can place an order for lunch or for their upcoming weekend party.
Users can also order one of their pre-stored favorite pizzas via the app or click repeat for the last order to be delivered again.
The app also lets consumers find the nearest Papa John’s location.
Consumers with a Papa John’s account can also access the Papa Rewards feature and earn free pizza with the company’s ongoing program.

This is not the company’s first foray into mobile.
Most recently, Papa John’s is encouraged food sales via mobile banner ads that took consumers to the company’s optimized site where they could order delivery or carryout.
The company ran mobile banner ads within Pandora’s iPhone app. The banner ads featured the company’s large spicy Italian limited time only pizza for $10 (see story).
