Museum Quality Framing rolls out mobile app to increase purchase intent

The FrameShopApp lets customers choose from various custom framing and art services. The application is available for free download in Apple’s App Store.

“Our strategy is to offer our exceptional printing and framing services to the international market through our application,” said Jim Brent, owner of Museum Quality Framing, Los Angeles. “Our app was designed around Museum Quality’s years of experience in printing and framing of mobile phone photographs.

“We soon realized the potential to market our services to a greater audience and simplify the process by putting in the palm of your hands,” he said. “Users can place orders from a beach in Hawaii or the Grand Canyon, and have their framed canvas prints shipped to where ever they wish.”

Mobile framing
Museum Quality Framing decided to introduce a mobile application after many of its clients began bringing in their iPhone photos for printing.

Consumers can select the frame they want and choose a print size.

Then, customers can put in their address and checkout via Paypal.

“We were already printing photos from phones at our brick and mortar gallery in Southern California,” Mr. Brent said. “Offering the full service through a mobile app was naturally the step for us.

“Consumers can import their photo, stylize it, choose a frame and print size, set shipping destination and check out it PayPal,” he said. “We then do our magic, and in just a few days the framed canvas print will be on the customer’s wall.”

Consumer interest
To celebrate the launch of the application, the company is offering a 50 percent discount on all orders for the entire month of March.

The company is also looking to expand the application to other platforms.

“Our Android App will launch within the next 30 days,” Mr. Brent said. “For iPhone and Andriod, look for updates that will never end and new services and frame selections will constantly be added to our app.
