Users complain Facebook is causing iPhone batteries to drain
Facebook’s iPhone app is consuming large amounts of battery charge even when it is not open, users have complained. Users say the app records long periods of background activity, even when settings such as background refresh are disabled.

Google offering free Apps for Work to some customers
Google Inc announced on Monday that it will offer its Apps for Work suite free to businesses currently locked into agreements with other office software vendors. Normally, businesses pay $5 per user per month for a basic version of Apps for Work or $10 per user per month for one with more advanced features, such as increased storage and an email archive.

Yahoo’s Reses leaves to join Jack Dorsey’s Square before IPO
One of the top lieutenants in Silicon Valley is leaving the side of one high-profile Internet executive in Marissa Mayer to join another, Jack Dorsey. Jacqueline Reses is leaving Yahoo! Inc., where she had been chief development officer, to run Square’s business-financing service, the San Francisco-based payments company said in a blog post on Monday.
