China Mobile Ltd. saw $9 billion erased from its market value after the company posted its largest annual profit drop since 1999 amid rising spending on a new high-speed network.

Orange buys Thales, CDC’s stakes in Cloudwatt JV
French telecoms groups Orange said on Friday that it was buying shares held by French defense group Thales and the CDC state-backed lender in its cloud computing joint venture Cloudwatt.
With support from the French state, the company was launched in 2012 to provide an alternative to big U.S. companies dominating the sector but it has struggled to take off.
