Google’s smart home hub is promising, but still a work in progress
Google has said that the promise of Google Home — its smart voice-activated speaker — is that I won’t have to break my stride to find a light switch, change the channel, search for music or type something into a search bar again. But the $129 Google Home, which the company sent for me to review last week, stops short of that vision right now.
