MasterCard highlights PayPass, Google Wallet ease via video campaign

The campaign recently started running on NYC’s Taxi-TV. MasterCard worked with agency R/GA on the campaign.

Ease of use
Through the series of 15-second spots that are running, MasterCard is showing what consumers can accomplish in the matter of seconds.

The campaign features several 15-second spot videos including a quick exit to a date gone wrong.

The video features a couple who is on a first date and things get kind of awkward. However, the guy brought his phone with him and makes a quick getaway by getting into the nearest taxi and paying for the fare by tapping his device.

There is also the Horror Movie 15-second spot where a guy decides to catch a last-minute horror movie and pays for the ticket via his mobile device.

Mobile fun
Each 15-second spot illustrates MasterCard’s tap and go service.

According to the company, the spots illustrate, in a fun way, the speed with which payments can be made and processed using this new digital payment system.

The spots will appear on Taxi TV, the entertainment system present in all New York City cabs.

Additionally, the spots will be featured on Web banners on a variety of Web sites such as Mashable, TechCrunch and Wired.

Consumers can see the spots on the Web and in cabs and they will be running through the end of the year.
