Knovio promotes new app feature with email contest

Knovio is a provider of multimedia online presentation technology. It has upgraded its free Knovio mobile app with features that enable iPad users to turn photos from their Camera Roll or Photo Stream into narrated multimedia stories.

“Our mobile phones and tablets are increasingly being used to document our lives and the world around us with photos,” said Michael Kolowich, CEO of KnowledgeVision. “Knovio now makes it possible to turn mobile photos into compelling, media-rich content that can be sent by email, posted to social media, or incorporated into a website or blog.

“It’s the ultimate show-and-tell app.”

Chasing modern capabilities
Knovio users can now add photos or narrated PowerPoint presentations or create new content using photos stored on iPads.

The new features aim to make it easy to explain concepts, pitch ideas, teach classes and promote causes from an iPad. First introduced by KnowledgeVision earlier this year, tens of thousands of entrepreneurs, trainers, marketers, salespeople, teachers and students use Knovio to create audio- and video-narrated presentations using PowerPoint slide decks.

The newly introduced Knovio Mobile 1.6 lets them add photos to further illustrate their stories.

Knovio users the iPad’s camera and microphone to add side-by-side video and/or audio narration to images from PowerPoint or from the tablet’s stored photos. The resulting media-rich content can be played in any browser or any desktop or mobile device, without downloading a viewer app.

To promote the new feature, Knovio is hosting a contest “How do you Knovio?”. Users must first download the app and email the Knovio link to [email protected] for their chance to win a FoPro Hero4 Silver or equivalent if located outside the U.S. Submissions are due by Jan. 12, and judges will select 11 of the best Knovios as finalists to be announced on Knovio’s social accounts on Jan. 19.

The 12th finalist will be a people’s choice determined by popular vote on Knovio’s Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Once finalists are selected, they will compete for the win by gaining shares or likes for their Knovio links among their networks. The selected finalist Knovio with the most will receive the prize. The final contest ends Jan. 31.
