Juicy Couture prepares for holiday influx in mobile traffic with new site

Juicy Couture has unveiled a mobile site in time for the holidays, letting savvy consumers shop its line of fashion, accessories and jewelry on the go.

Consumers can shop the Juicy Couture collection as well as the Bird by Juicy Couture collection via their mobile device. The fashion retailer partnered with Usablenet to power its mobile site.

“We already have a great penetration of users visiting our mobile site, but we knew that it needed to be enhanced,” said Devon Pike, senior vice president of digital at Juicy Couture, New York.

“Our customer is young and savvy and she uses her iPhone, Blackberry, Android or whatever her mobile preference as a resource consistently,” she said. “It was necessary to build the mobile site so we could answer her needs – in a Juicy way of course.”

Juicy Couture is an on-trend lifestyle brand for women and girls with more than 100 Juicy Couture and Juicy Couture Outlet stores in the United States.

Usablenet works with brands to translate their existing Web site content and functionality to mobile.

It’s juicy to be in mobile
Consumers can access the mobile site by entering http://www.juicycouture.com on their mobile browser.

Customers are then redirected to a mobile site where they can shop new arrivals, gift shops, women’s, handbags, jewelry, accessories, girls, sale and the Bird collection.

Consumers can browse collections

In addition, consumers can search for a specific product via the search tool at the top of the site.

Customers can browse products and view photos of the item, the cost and the description.

Then, consumers can select a color that they want, size and quantity.

Sharing is caring
Users also have the option of sharing an item with their family or friends by email, Facebook or Twitter.

Via the mobile site consumers can find the closest Juicy store, as well as contact the company.

Similar to its ecommerce site, Juicy is offering free shipping on all orders over $250.

“As consumers increasingly spend time on their mobile devices, it is important for retailers to serve them optimized mobile shopping experiences,” said Nick Taylor, president of Usablenet, New York.

“Juicy Couture’s launch is particularly strategic, as they smartly prepare for an influx of mobile traffic right before Black Friday and the holiday shopping season,” he said.
