AT&T certifies Charge Anywhere mobile payment services

AT&T Wireless has certified Charge Anywhere’s mobile payment services for a range of BlackBerry, Windows Mobile and J2ME (Java) mobile phones.
Charge Anywhere provides end-to-end secure services that let merchants accept credit and debit cards anywhere, at any time. Its PA DSS software, and PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment gateway, merchants can process electronic payments on their AT&T phones with the bank card processor of their choice.
Charge Anywhere is a provider of secure payment gateway and mobile payment services.
The service offers 10 different PA DSS validated payment applications including, five payment applications designed for mobile phone operating systems.
The certification applies to the following devices: Samsung Jack; HTC Fuze, HTC Tilt; Nokia E71x; and BlackBerry Bold 9000, Curve 8900, 8800, 8820, 8100, 8120, 8300, 8310, and 8320.
To process transactions merchants can either key in card data or use a Bluetooth receipt printer and card reader to qualify for lower processing rates.
