Mobile advancement
Over the past years, American Eagle has been ramping up its mobile strategy.

Last year, American Eagle Outfitters encouraged consumers to shop and participate in mobile challenges at its Times Square flagship store in New York as part of a fundraising campaign where the retailer will donate $5 for every completed challenge.

The company worked with Scvngr to use its mobile location-based game app. American Eagle Outfitters donated $5 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America after each completed challenge and Scvngr matched every donation for a total of $10 donated for every completed challenge (see story).

Most recently, American Eagle Outfitters continued its push in the mobile commerce space via a new partnership with Google Wallet.

American Eagle is educating consumers on how to use the Google Wallet with in-store demonstrations in New York. Google Wallet is currently being used at American Eagle locations in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Washington and New York (see story).
